Kathleen Breslin, MA., MS., Psy.D
Licensed Psychologist/Neuropsychologist
Dr. Breslin is a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. She earned her undergraduate and master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. She then went on to complete a master’s degree and doctorate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her neuropsychological training at Jefferson University Hospital, Moss Rehab Hospital, and the Penn Memory Center. She completed her doctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology at Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Hospital where. She received her post-doctoral training in the department of Neurology at the University of Virginia Health System where she specialized in working with adults and older adults with neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Breslin also has specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and was a teacher’s assistant for Dr. Arthur Freeman. She is also a certified brain injury specialist. Research interests include epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease, and factors that impact neuropsychological performance.

Nicole Sestito, Ph.D., ABPP/CN
Licensed Psychologist / Board Certified Neuropsychologist
Dr. Sestito is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Temple University. It was there that she was first exposed to the relationship between the brain and behavior and began working in a cognitive neuroscience lab. After working as a research coordinator and psychometrician in an older adult population, Dr. Sestito earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Drexel University with a concentration in clinical neuropsychology. During her time at Drexel, she completed externships at Jefferson University Hospital's Department of Neurology and the UPenn's Department of Psychiatry. Her research work focused on improving everyday functioning in adults with dementia and severe mental illness.
Dr. Sestito completed her pre-doctoral internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Zucker-Hillside Hospital, which served a diverse group of residents in Queens and Long Island. Following completion of her doctoral degree, she received her post-doctoral fellowship training at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. She worked with veterans in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including newly discharged soldiers who were coping with the impact of brain injuries and post-traumatic stress. This work led her to Mentis Neuro-Rehabilitation, a sub-acute rehabilitation center that provided a variety of rehabilitative services and therapies to help individuals with moderate to severe brain injury return to daily living. In addition to cognitive assessment, Dr. Sestito's work was focused on behavioral intervention and training the clinical team in person-centered de-escalation strategies.
Since returning to the Philadelphia area, Dr. Sestito has continued to work with adults with a variety of neurological and psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, dementia, and movement disorders. More recently, she has joined Brandywine Neuropsychology Associates and sees clients both in the office and in various community settings. Dr. Sestito's clinical approach is evidence-based and utilizes the findings of the best available current research, while focusing on the whole person and their unique experiences. She is dedicated to creating a collaborative relationship with each client and meeting each person’s individual goals.
William Gardner, Ph.D., CBIST
Licensed Psychologist/Neuropsycholigist
Dr. Gardner is a clinical neuropsychologist and psychologist licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Delaware. After completing his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois he worked for two years in brain injury rehabilitation and inpatient psychiatric care. He moved to the Philadelphia area to earn his doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Neuropsychology from Drexel University. As part of his education at Drexel, he completed practicum trainings at MossRehab Hospital, Einstein Medical Center, and the Philadelphia VA. Dr. Gardner’s pre-doctoral internship at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation included providing counseling to individuals who had strokes, orthopedic surgery, or brain injuries. He continued to work in brain injury rehabilitation while completing his dissertation research into caregiver relationships after traumatic brain injury.
After earning his PhD, Dr. Gardner went on to a post-doctoral fellowship at ReMed. He remained at ReMed in the role of clinical neuropsychologist for more than 20 years, treating individuals with acquired brain injuries. In his position, he conducted neuropsychological evaluations to generate treatment, functional, and vocational recommendations. He provided individual and group psychotherapy, supporting both the survivors of the injury and their families.
Dr. Gardner is a Certified Trainer for the Academy of Brain Injury Specialists. He provides training for professionals seeking certification, in addition to training employees beginning their career in brain injury rehabilitation or others seeking to understand TBI. He has presented at professional conferences and various workshops on brain injury rehabilitation and neuropsychological evaluation, with a particular focus in the areas of concussion, coping and adjustment, and advocacy. He also has supervised the training of pre-doctoral, graduate students in neuropsychology.
Dr. Gardner joined Brandywine Neuropsychology Associates in 2022. He conducts neuropsychological evaluations with individuals with TBI, ADHD, stroke or other neurocognitive disorders. He believes in a collaborative approach with other medical professional and therapists, including PCPs; neurologists; neuropsychiatrists; and speech, physical, and occupational therapists. Dr. Gardner also provides psychotherapy to a limited number of adults.
